Distribution: Cosmopolitan. In Africa: Saint Helena, Seychelles South Africa, Yemen, Zimbabwe ( De Prins & De Prins 2018) and Mali (new record).

Host-plants: Pest of stored food plants, especially milled plant products ( Wikipedia 2018).
