Trogoderma View in CoL View at ENA sp. 3
The brown hairy larvae of this species are more similar to Anthrenus than to Trogoderma . Trogoderma sp. 3 adults are entirely black with posteriorly narrowed elytra. The species was abundant in one nest of A. annumbi from Campo de Mayo ( Table 2). Emergence data from reared adults from nest 8 ( Table 2) was 10-X-05 (116), 12-X-05 (120), 13-X-05 (78), 14/ 15-X-05 (131), 17-X-05 (14), 20-X-05 (50), 23-X-05 (18), 25/ 26-X-05 (28), 30-X-05 (10), 1/ 16-XI-05 (20), 17/ 30-XI-05 (47) [spring]. The species was also present in nests from Entre Ríos and Santa Fe ( Table 2); in the last locality it was also abundant in nests of other birds.
