Distribution in Iran. East of Iran (no locality cited) (Yari et al. 2014).

Distribution outside Iran. Denmark ( Griffiths 1967; Yu et al. 2012), Germany ( Förster 1862 as Brachystropha monticola ; Yu et al. 2012), Greece (Papp 2007), Hungary, Mongolia, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and Uzbekistan ( Yu et al. 2012), Ireland ( Broad et al. 2012; Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Phytomyza tenella Meigen, 1830 ( Griffiths 1967; Yu et al. 2012) and P. diversicornis Hendel, 1927 ( Diptera : Agromyzidae ) ( Griffiths 1967).
