Notes:—Once Kiaerskou (1893) ellected only syntypes (Glaziou 12727, 13868, 13869) for Eugenia glandulosissima , the collection Glaziou 12727 has been designated here as a lectotype, because the vegetative and reproductive parts correspond to the protologue description and it is in good condition. The data about the locality of the lectotype and syntypes have been obtained from the isosyntypes in P, R and US, not from the syntype deposited in C (which do not have information about he locality) or the protologue.
Distribution:— Eugenia candolleana occurs in Atlantic Rainforest from Pernambuco to Paraná states. It is cultivated for its edible fruits. Figures can be observed in Amorim & Alves (2012), Lorenzi et al. (2006), Sobral (2011).
