Nomia gazellae Friese, 1909: 279 , nom. nov. pour Nomia metallica Cameron, 1901 , nec Smith, 1863. — Michener 1965 (syn. de N. willyei ).
MATÉRIEL TYPE. — Le spécimen type provient de l’archipel Bismarck, son lieu de dépôt est inconnu.
MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — Vanuatu. Santo Island, Luganville, à vue, 1.XI.2006, rec. Frédéric Durand, 1 ♀ (MNHN EY2001).
DISTRIBUTION. — Nouvelle-Guinée, archipel Bismarck, Îles Salomon, Vanuatu (Santo).
DIAGNOSE. — Corps entièrement à reflets vert bronzé métallique, 6 à 7 mm.
REMARQUE
Espèce nouvelle pour le Vanuatu,dont l’identification est à confirmer toutefois par la découverte des mâles qui, dans le genre Austronomia , caractérisent mieux les espèces.
