Promalactis flavidilineata Wang , sp. nov.

( Figs 2 View FIGURES 1‒6 , 8 View FIGURES 7‒12 )

Type material. CHINA, Fujian Province: Holotype ♂, Sangang (27.75°N, 117.68°E), Mt.Wuyi , 740 m, 20.V.2004, coll. Haili Yu, slide No. DZH12266. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. This species is similar to P. grandaedeaga sp. nov. in features of the male genitalia, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the aedeagus with a small cornutus in the vesical that is less than 1/10 of the aedeagus distally; in the latter species, the aedeagus has a long cornutus that is about 1/3 the length of the aedeagus and is placed before middle.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1‒6 ). Wingspan 9.5 mm. Head with vertex yellow, frons yellowish white, occiput yellow except ochreous yellow laterally. Labial palpus with first and second segments yellowish white on inner surface, first segment dark brown and second segment ochreous yellow on outer surface; third segment yellow, black before white apex. Antenna black, scape dark brown ventrally, flagellum annulated with white dorsally. Thorax yellow; tegula ochreous brown. Forewing yellow, intermixed with ochreous yellow; basal half of costal area ochreous brown, forming an ill-defined wide band approximately 2/5 width of wing; costal margin with a black triangular spot at basal 3/5, a faint white dot situated on its inside; dorsum with pale yellow and black scales at basal 2/3, with two parallel pale yellow streaks: first streak from basal 1/4 to middle of lower margin of cell; second streak from middle to basal 3/4 of lower margin of cell, edged with black scales on inner margin; tornal spot black, diffused, ill-defined; apical spot black, two smaller black spots placed before it along costal margin; cilia yellow except ochreous brown along distal part of costal margin. Hindwing and cilia deep grey.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7‒12 ). Uncus broad at base, narrowed to basal 2/5, setose laterally; distal 3/5 slender, digitate, pointed at apex. Gnathos approximately same length as uncus, broad lingulate, obtusely rounded apically, scaly on distal 1/3. Tegumen divided from posterior 1/3, narrowed anteriorly to obtuse apex. Valva sub-rectangular, narrowly rounded at apex; costa slightly concave basally and distally, convex medially, with a densely setose, overlapped oval area on distal half. Sacculus narrow, narrow, concave in V shape at basal 2/5 dorsally, with dense setae on distal 2/3, produced to pointed apex directing dorsad. Saccus slender, extremely elongate, about 3 times length of uncus, wide at base, narrowed to narrowly rounded apex. Juxta with basal 1/3 quadrate; lateral arms broad triangular, acute at apex, reaching posterior 2/3 of tegumen apically. Aedeagus slender, more than twice length of valva, with a very short, straight cornutus in vesica.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China (Fujian).

Etymology. The specific epithet of this new species is derived from the Latin flavidus and lineatus, referring to the two short dorsal streaks on the forewing.
