Khorata nanningensis View in CoL sp. nov.

Figs 37–40, 61

Type material: Holotype: male ( IZCAS), Cishangong Cave [23°11.050ʹN, 108°19.818ʹE, alt. 111 m], Feifeng Mountain , Wuming County, Nanning, Guangxi, China, 30 July 2009, Z.Y. Yao and C.X. Wang leg. GoogleMaps

Paratypes: 2 males, 10 females ( IZCAS), same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Etymology: The specific name refers to the type locality; adjective.

Diagnosis: This species resembles K. robertmurphyi sp. nov. in having similar shape of procursus and similar small rounded hump of bulb (Figs 37A–B, D; 39A, D; 40A; 45A–B, D; 47A, D; 48A), but can be distinguished by the narrow dark median line behind ocular area (Figs 37C, 38C), the small lateral angular ledges of male chelicerae (Figs 39B–C), the ventral and lateral view of female genital area (Figs 38A, 40B– C), and the dorsal view of epigynum (Figs 38B, 40D).

Description: Male (holotype): Total length 2.28 (2.41 with clypeus), prosoma 0.83 long, 1.03 wide, opisthosoma 1.45 long, 1.02 wide. Leg I: 18.79 (4.49 + 0.45 + 4.81 + 6.73 + 2.31), leg II: 12.50 (3.33 + 0.38 + 3.08 + 4.36 + 1.35), leg III: 9.68 (2.88 + 0.32 + 2.37 + 3.21 + 0.90), leg IV: 11.73 (3.33 + 0.38 + 2.95 + 4.23 + 0.84); tibia I L/d: 47. Habitus as in Fig. 37C. Dorsal shield of prosoma yellowish, with black margins and narrow dark median line behind ocular area; sternum black. Legs yellowish, with slightly darker rings on femora (subdistally) and tibiae (proximally and subdistally). Opisthosoma grey with large black spots dorsally and ventrally. Ocular area slightly elevated and separated from prosoma, thoracic furrow shallow but distinct; distance PME-PME 0.13; diameter PME 0.11; distance PME-ALE 0.02; AME absent. Sternum slightly wider than long (0.63/0.56). Chelicerae as in Figs 39B–C, with pair of long, hooked frontal apophyses (distance between tips: 0.02); pair of strong proximal apophyses provided with scales, with lateral elliptic ledges, with small lateral angular ledges, without modified hairs; pair of small ledges at frontolateral surface distally. Palps as in Figs 37A–B; 39A, D; trochanter with retrolateral apophysis and small ventral projection, femur with retrolateral apophysis, patella large, procursus simple proximally but complex distally, bulb simple, with embolus and small rounded hump retrolaterally. Retrolateral trichobothrium of tibia I at 14%; legs with short vertical hairs on all metatarsi (mostly dorsally and laterally), without spines and curved hairs; tarsus I with more than 40 pseudosegments, only about 13 distinct ones distally.

Variation: Tibia I in other males (n=2): 4.81, 4.87 (mean: 4.84).

Female: Similar to male, habitus as in Figs 38C–D. Tibia I in females (n=8, leg I lost in the other two specimens): 3.85–4.62 (mean: 4.31). Genital area brown (Figs 38A, 40B–C), strongly protruding, with internal structures nearly invisible through cuticle, without distinct pockets. Dorsal view of epigynum (Figs 38B, 40D) with two long pore plates.

Distribution: The species is known only from the type locality ( Fig. 61 View FIGURE 61 ).
