— i) calling song, 4 kHz ± 0.14 (3.83–4.14, n = 3); chirps with 2 pulses; 84 Ch/min ± 19.6 (60–108, n = 3); Pp = 0.054 s ± 0.007 (0.046–0.063, n = 3); 24.3ºC ± 1.70 (22–26, n = 3) ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 68–87 ); ii) State of São Paulo, municipality of Campos do Jordão (Parque Estadual de Campos do Jordão); iii) presente paper. Note about G. argentinus and Gryllus sp.1 . Both species present calling songs with chirps composed of double pulses, but differ from each other because G. argentinus may present an additional small pulse preceding the chirp, and the dominant frequency higher; in addition, the karyotype of both species show consistent differences (Zefa 1996, n. Publ). Gryllus argentinus shows a wide distribution in the Brazilian territory, being one of the most recurrent Gryllus species among those analyzed in this work.
