This species was synonymised with G. pallescens View in CoL by Hölzel (1982), but is reinstated here as a valid species.
Diagnosis
Characterized by its small size, wings without markings and body coloration brown and yellow ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 ). It can be distinguished from G. pallescens by the smaller size, pronotum with two clearly separated longitudinal brown stripes and the presence of erect black setae on dorsal surface of femora.
Redescription
Size (mm). Forewing: 3 27, Ƥ 26–29; hind wing: 3 24, Ƥ 19–25; length of body: 3 26, Ƥ 19.
Head. Face brown. Frons above antennae with continuous transverse brown stripe. Vertex with interrupted brown marking. Antennae: scape brown; pedicel and flagellum darker. Terminal segment of labial palps enlarged at base.
Thorax. Pronotum elongate, yellowish with two clearly separated dorsal brown stripes from anterior to posterior margin and a lateral brown stripe extending from anterior groove to posterior margin. Meso- and metanotum mainly dark brown. Pleurites dark brown.
Legs. Brown. All femora and fore and middle tibiae with brown spots. Middle femora with 5 erect black setae on dorsal surface. Femoral brush in male with 28–29 setae. Spurs: in fore tibiae longer than T1+2, in middle tibiae as long as T1+2, in hind tibiae shorter than T1+2. Claws slightly curved.
Wings. Narrow. Membrane hyaline without markings. Veins pale with SC and R darker. Forewings with 6 crossveins between R and MP before origin of RS; RS arising beyond CuA fork. Stigma almost indistinct. Hind wings slightly pointed at apex.
Abdomen. Tergites and sternites brown with tergite IX and ectoprocts yellowish; tergites finely bordered with yellowish laterally. Male ectoprocts almost oval, not extended backwards ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ). Parameres short evenly curved ( Figs 11 & 12 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ).

Distribution
Known only from Djibouti and Saudi Arabia ( Fig. 51 View FIGURE 51 ).
