Diagnosis

Medium sized. Body coloration yellow and black. Wings hyaline with black markings. In forewings no black dots between R and MP before RS ( Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 ).

Redescription

Size. Forewing: 3 26–29, Ƥ 25–28; hind wing: 3 24–27, Ƥ 23–27; length of body: 3 22–23, Ƥ 22–25.

Head. Face yellow with a dark brown marking between antennal toruli. Frons dark yellowish. Vertex yellowish with two darker spots of variable extent. Scape yellow, pedicel brown, flagellomeres yellow. Terminal segment of labial palps slightly enlarged at base, apex acute.

Thorax. Pronotum yellow with lateral black stripes extending from anterior groove to posterior margin, and two median small black markings along posterior margin ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 18 – 19 ). Mesoprescutum yellow, black anteriorly; mesonotum yellow, black anteriorly; mesoscutellum yellow. Metanotum yellow with black markings anteriorly and two black spots on metascutum. Pleurites with dark brown patches of variable extent.

Legs. Yellow. Hind femora brown on apical 2/3. Femoral brush of male with 46 setae. Spurs: in forelegs longer than T1+2, in middle legs longer than T1+2, in hind legs shorter than T1+2.

Wings. Hyaline with black markings. Forewing with two black dots between MP and CuA before CuA fork separated by one crossvein, with 5 crossveins between R and MP before origin of RS; RS arising beyond CuA fork. Veins white, some longitudinal veins with black striations. Stigma yellow and black. Hind wings sub-falcate.

Abdomen. Tergite I black. Tergite II yellow with black marking on anterior half. Tergites III to VIII with median black marking indented laterally. Sternite I black. Sternite II with anterior and median black marking ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 18 – 19 ); following sternites with at least basal half black. Male ectoprocts projected backwards ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20 – 22 ).

Parameres slender slightly curved ( Figs 21 & 22 View FIGURES 20 – 22 ). Female terminalia with developed gonapohyseal plate ( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 ).
