This specimen manifests the characters of Ganguilus , in particular the stout black spine-like setae on the anterior surface of the scape and pedicel and the long slender legs. But this specimen is quite damaged and several parts are glued, the right antenna, the two hind wings, the right hind leg and the abdomen.
This specimen resembles G. oblitus but it can be distinguished by the rounded apex of the hind wings, the yellowish coloration of the discal part of meso- and metanotum and the lack of brown stripes on the pronotum. There are also fewer erect black setae on the tibiae and femora.
