Specimens examined. Holotype ♂ ( SCAU, No. 120639), CHINA: Mengla, Xishuangbanna , Yunnan, 600 m, ex tussock, 10.ix.2002, HW Chen . Paratypes: CHINA: 1♂ 1♀ ( SCAU, Nos 120640, 41), same data as holotype ; 8♂ 8♀ (2♂ 2♀ in KIZ; 5♂ 5♀ in SCAU, Nos 120642-51; 1♂ 1♀ in SEHU), same data as holotype except for 21–24.iv.2007, HW Chen, JJ Gao, F Zhao.

Diagnosis. Aedeagus composed of 1 pair of acute, rod-like processes, 1 pair of lobe-like processes bearing fringe cilia and 1 arcuate process bearing sparse cilia ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15–18 ); gonopods protruded medio-dorsally and -ventrally ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15–18 ).

Description. Male and female: Frons shiny, yellow, lacking sporadic, minute setulae. Pedicel yellow; first flagellomere almost yellow, black apically. Clypeus almost black. Palpus yellow basally, black distally. Thorax yellow, with brown, longitudinal stripes submedially and black, longitudinal stripes laterally. Postpronotal lobe brown on upper 1/3, yellow on lower 2/3. Scutellum brown. Katepisternum dark brown on upper 2/3 part, yellow on lower 1/3 part. Fore femur with 5–6 setae on distal part of ventral surface. Legs brown to black, yellow-brown on all knee joints and tarsomeres. All abdominal tergites brown. Third to fifth sternites dark brown. Male terminalia: Epandrium with approximately 28 setae near posterior to ventral margin on each body-side ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15–18 ). Surstylus narrowed distally ( Figs 15, 16 View FIGURES 15–18 ). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15–18 ). Plate between hypandrium and aedeagus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15–18 ).

Measurements. BL = 3.24 mm in holotype (range in 4♂ 5♀ paratypes: 2.84–3.36 mm in ♂, 3.20–3.84 mm in ♀); ThL = 1.75 mm (1.56–1.75 mm in ♂, 1.63–1.97 mm in ♀); WL = 2.72 mm (2.47–2.69 mm in ♂, 2.63–3.12 mm in ♀); WW = 1.46 mm (1.28–1.44 mm in ♂, 1.38–1.62 mm in ♀). Indices: arb = 10/7 (10–12/ 7–9), avd = 0.65 (0.67–0.80), adf = 1.67 (1.38–1.77), flw = 2.08 (1.77–2.15), FW/HW = 0.38 (0.38–0.42), ch/ o = 0.08 (0.08–0.09), prorb = 1.00 (0.92–1.04), rcorb = 0.96 (0.81–0.92), vb = 0.27 (0.22–0.33), dcl = 0.52 (0.47–0.61), presctl = 0.65 (0.58–0.70), sctl = 1.48 (1.36–1.65), sterno = 0.84 (0.89–0.92), orbito = 2.63 (2.00–2.71), dcp = 0.20 (0.18–0.23), sctlp = 1.68 (1.60–2.11), C = 2.14 (2.00–2.17), 4c = 1.03 (1.06–1.20), 4v = 1.61 (1.62–1.95), 5x = 1.29 (1.13–1.31), ac = 9.25 (9.00–11.67), M = 0.50 (0.47–0.56), C3F = 0.74 (0.68– 0.78).

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name means “tea garden” in the language of Dai, a native people of Xishuangbanna.
