35. Syzygium tenue (Duthie) N. P. Balakrishnan (1982 View in CoL [1980]: 175).
= Eugenia tenuis Duthie (1879: 500) View in CoL . Lectotype (designated here):— INDIA. Sukanagar [Sukanaghar], 9 May 1810, Hamilton 1165 (E! [barcode E00288052]).
= Syzygium tenue Wallich View in CoL Catalogue Number 3570 (K! [barcode K001119752]), nom. nud. = Calyptranthes tenuis Buchanan-Hamilton ex Wallich, Wallich View in CoL Catalogue Number 3570. nom. nud.
Distribution:— India [Uttar Pradesh]; ca. 1300 m.
Notes:—In Wallich’s catalogue, his number 3570 has the Hamilton manuscript name listed as a synonym. Given that no separate specimen bearing Wallich’s number has been located, it is possible that no such sheet exists, and that the Hamilton collection is the holotype. However, this remains uncertain and we have taken the precaution of designating Hamilton 1165 the lectotype.
