[barcodes K001004281, K001119788]). Remaining syntypes:— Griffith 2398 (K! [barcode K001004273), J.D. Hooker & T. Thomson s.n. (K! [barcodes K001004275, K001004277, K001004278]).
Distribution:— India [Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, West Bengal] and Bangladesh; 100–1300 m.
Notes:— Three syntypes were noted in Duthie’s protologue: Silhet, Wallich; E. Bengal, Griffith; Khasia Mts. , J.D. Hooker & T. Thomson. The primary reference was to Wallich Catalogue Number 3598, which we have chosen as lectotype, and which has the added advantage that duplicates are present in more than one herbarium ( K, CAL) .
