Type material: Holotype: male, Mt. Wuzhishan (18°54.418′N, 109°40.647′E, alt. 941 m), Hainan Island, China, 30 April 2011, leg. Yuanye Zhou. Paratypes: 2 males, 3 females (IZCAS), same data as holotype.

Etymology. The specific name is from Latin hebetatus (blunt), in reference to the shape of male compound teminal apophysis; adjective.

Diagnosis. Male differs from I. scutata sp. nov. in having a shorter patellar apophysis, and the relatively large proximal apophysis on patella connecting to the long apophysis ( Figs 122 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 126–128 View FIGURES 126 – 129 ; smaller and hook-liked in I. scutata sp. nov., Figs 206 View FIGURES 206 – 209 , 210–212 View FIGURES 210 – 213 ); can be distinguished from other species by the shape of patellar apophysis ( Figs 122 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 128 View FIGURES 126 – 129 ). Female differs from I. scutata sp. nov. in having arched epigyne ( Figs 124 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 130 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ; rectangular in I. scutata sp. nov., Figs 208 View FIGURES 206 – 209 , 214 View FIGURES 214 – 218 ); can be distinguished from others by the shape and sclerotized extent of epigyne ( Figs 124 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 130 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ).

Description. Male ( Figs 122, 123 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 126–129 View FIGURES 126 – 129 , 132 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ): Total length 2.0, PL 1.0, PW 0.8, OL 1.0, OW 0.75. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.16, PME 0.05, PLE 0.15, AER 0.8, PER 0.75, EFL 0.6. Legs: I 1.8 (0.6, 0.3, 0.4, 0.3, 0.2), II 1.65 (0.5, 0.25, 0.35, 0.3, 0.25), III 1.55 (0.5, 0.25, 0.3, 0.3, 0.2), IV 2.2 (0.7, 0.3, 0.55, 0.4, 0.25); formula: 4123.

Dorsal prosoma light brown, with dark sides, covered with brown and white setae. Clypeus height 0.2, Clypeus gray brown, covered with white setae. Fovea, cervicle and radial grooves unclear. Chelicerae small and yellow, with two promarginal teeth, retromargin with four teeth. Endites, labium and sternum yellow. Leg I with longitudinal stripes. Metatarsus I with three pairs of ventral spines. Opisthosoma cylindrical, yellowish brown, with one pair of pale yellow spots, following three latitudinal stripes; anterior and posterior margins covered with white and brown setae; ventral opisthosoma light brown. Spinnerets light yellow, anterior spinnerets shorter and stronger than posterior ones. Palp ( Figs 122, 123 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 126–129 View FIGURES 126 – 129 ): Patellar apophysis long, with small apophysis at 1/4 length distally, and triangular apophysis proximally. Compound teminal apophysis rough and blunt distally, with deep groove at tip of bulbus. Embolus slender and curved. Seminal duct thin and twisted.

Female ( Figs 124, 125 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 130, 131, 133, 134 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ): Total length 2.1, PL 1.0, PW 0.8, OL 1.1, OW 0.9. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.16, PME 0.03, PLE 0.15, AER 0.8, PER 0.8, EFL 0.6. Legs: I 1.75 (0.55, 0.25, 0.4, 0.35, 0.2), II 1.5 (0.45, 0.22, 0.28, 0.3, 0.25), III 1.55 (0.45, 0.2, 0.3, 0.35, 0.25), IV 2.3 (0.7, 0.25, 0.6, 0.45, 0.3); formula: 4132.

Opisthosoma cylindrical, yellowish brown, with three black latitudinal stripes. Other characters similar to those of male. Epigyne ( Figs 124 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 130 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ): heavily sclerotized, longer than wider, shield-shaped and darkened at median area. Vulva ( Figs 125 View FIGURES 122 – 125 , 131 View FIGURES 130 – 134 ): Copulatory ducts membranaceous and relatively short, separated at the bottom of vulva. Glandular ducts thin, merged with copulatory ducts. Spermathecae oblong, connect to an irregular sclerite.

Distribution. The species is known only from the type locality ( Fig. 258 View FIGURE 258 ).
