Type material: Holotype: male, Mt. Limushan (19°10.874′N, 109°45.322′E, alt. 940 m), Qiongzhong County, Hainan Island, China, 4 May 2011, leg. Yuanye Zhou. Paratypes: 9 males, 9 females (IZCAS), same data as holotype.

Etymology. The specific name is from Latin curvus (bent), in reference to the shape of the compound terminal apophysis of male palp; adjective.

Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished by the shape of male compound terminal apophysis which is relatively long and curved, with smooth tip which is covered by the tegulum ( Figs 105 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 112 View FIGURES 109 – 112 ).

Description. Male ( Figs 105, 106 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 109–112 View FIGURES 109 – 112 , 115 View FIGURES 113 – 117 ): Total length 2.1, PL 1.1, PW 0.9, OL 1.0, OW 0.9. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.16, PME 0.04, PLE 0.18, AER 0.9, PER 0.85, EFL 0.7. Legs: I 1.85 (0.6, 0.25, 0.45, 0.3, 0.25), II 1.65 (0.5, 0.25, 0.35, 0.3, 0.25), III 1.65 (0.5, 0.25, 0.3, 0.35, 0.25), IV 2.3 (0.75, 0.25, 0.6, 0.4, 0.3); formula: 4132.

Dorsal prosoma brown, with dark sides, anterior portion light brown, covered with brown and white setae. Clypeus height 0.2, Clypeus gray brown, covered with brown setae. Fovea, cervicle and radial grooves unclear. Chelicerae small and yellow, with two promarginal teeth, retromargin with four teeth. Endites, labium and sternum yellow. Leg I with black longitudinal stripes. Metatarsus I with three pairs of ventral spines. Opisthosoma cylindrical, dark brown, with three pairs of pale yellow spots; anterior and posterior margins covered with long brown and white setae; ventral opisthosoma light brown. Spinnerets light yellow, anterior spinnerets shorter and stronger than posterior ones. Palp ( Figs 105, 106 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 109–112 View FIGURES 109 – 112 ): Patellar apophysis lobate. Compound teminal apophysis membranaceous proximally, broad in retrolateral view, with sclerotized apophysis medially, S-shaped, curved distally. Embolus long and covered by the compound teminal apophysis, curved distally. Seminal duct thin and twisted ( Figs 105 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 112 View FIGURES 109 – 112 ).

Female ( Figs 107, 108 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 113, 114, 116, 117 View FIGURES 113 – 117 ): Total length 2.6, PL 1.2, PW 0.9, OL 1.3, OW 1.1. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.2, PME 0.04, PLE 0.16, AER 0.95, PER 0.9, EFL 0.7. Legs: I 2.05 (0.6, 0.3, 0.5, 0.4, 0.25), II 1.75 (0.55, 0.3, 0.35, 0.3, 0.25), III 1.8 (0.5, 0.25, 0.35, 0.4, 0.3), IV 2.65 (0.8, 0.3, 0.65, 0.5, 0.3); formula: 4132.

Opisthosoma oval, yellowish brown, with three gray latitudinal stripes. Other characters similar to those of male. Epigyne ( Figs 107 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 113 View FIGURES 113 – 117 ): moderately sclerotized, rough and dark medially, with arcuate margin. Vulva ( Figs 108 View FIGURES 105 – 108 , 114 View FIGURES 113 – 117 ): complicated, with membranaceous and folded copulatory ducts. Spermathecae large, spherical, connect to an irregular sclerite.

Distribution. The species is known only from the type locality ( Fig. 258 View FIGURE 258 ).
