TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype, ♂, Papua New Guinea. Province Madang, Wanang 3 station (-5.22767, 145.0797), 175m, 22-23/11/2012, leg Basset, Plot 3, understorey, Malaise - MAL-WAN03-D05, P4936-9032 ( MNHN).

DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 2.1 mm. Head black; mesosoma and metasoma dark castaneous. Head (Figures 18- 19). Mandible with five apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe subtrapezoidal; median tooth angled with flat platform overlap medium region; median carina distinctly incomplete apically and straight in profile. Two teeth on hipostomal carina rounded. Frons strongly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin ecarinate, strongly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas partly carinate. Metasoma (Figurs 115). Tergal process without depressions, with setae very small, thin and posterad; tubercle absent, instead with small pit, with very small few setae. Hypopygium (Figure 208) with median stalk evenly narrow, 1.4 x as long as hypopygial plate; lateral stalk triangular; posterior margin straight with median concavity. Genitalia (Figures 341-343). Basal margin of paramere with subangled projection. Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, wider medially, narrowing abruptly apicad; apex with small, triangular and crenulated projection on ventral region; apical lobe diamond-shaped. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex lower than aedeagal dorsal body apex; apical region subangled and smooth. Digitus small. Genital ring straight, each half convex in dorsal view.

FEMALE: Unknown.

ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition daimen means diamond in Tok Pisin.
