Type material. Holotype: BRAZIL: Pará : ♀, Juruti, Acampamento Mutum (‑1.6124, ‑56.1942), 18 August 2011, E.G.S. Cafofo-Silva leg. ( MPEG 30776 View Materials ). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific name refers to the native indigenous group that inhabit the type locality in Juruti, southwestern Pará; noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. Females of M. munduruku spec. nov. resemble those M. arraijan spec. nov. ( Figs 121–123 View FIGURES 118–123 ) by the irregular hexagon shape of the MS, wider than long and widest anteriorly, in the epigyne. They are distinguished from the latter species by the pair of anterior grooves in the epigynal field ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 208–216 ) and by the internal ducts with FW dilated ( Fig. 212 View FIGURES 208–216 ) (anterior groove single and FW slender in M. arraijan spec. nov.). Males are unknown.

Description. Female (holotype): Total length 15.7. Prosoma 6.8 long, 6.3 wide. Opisthosoma 8.5 long, 4.7 wide. Eyes: diameters 0.48, 0.42, 0.30, 0.38; interdistances: 0.40, 0.20, 0.65, 0.68, 0.35, 0.26. Legs: I: absent; II: - (8.6, 3.4, 7.8, rest of leg absent); III: 22.4 (6.9, 3.0, 5.5, 5.2, 1.8); IV: 24.3 (7.5, 2.6, 6.0, 6.3, 1.9). Spination (legs III–IV) follows the generic pattern except femur IV: r1-1-1. Epigyne: EF slightly longer than wide; MAB short and narrow; EP triangular, as wide as long, opening at posterior margin of MS; LL touching posteriorly ( Figs 211 View FIGURES 208–216 , 217 View FIGURES 217–220 ). Vulva: internal ducts with FW mediad; GP longer than wide, anteriad, asrising from ducts at first turn; SP ovoid; FD antero laterad ( Figs 212–213 View FIGURES 208–216 , 218 View FIGURES 217–220 ).
