Xiao-Feng Xue and Zi-Wei Song; 6 females and 1 male (slide number NJAUAcariEri253), from Juniperus formosana Hayata (Cupressaceae) , Taibai Mountain, Mei County, Shaanxi Province, P. R. China, 34°01'51' N, 107°48'36' E, elevation 2810m, 1 September 2004, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue & Zi-Wei Song; 18 females (slide number NJAUAcariEri885), 8 females (slide number NJAUAcariEri888), from Juniperus formosana Hayata (Cupressaceae) , Linzhi, Tibet Autonomogus Region, P. R. China, 29°37'01' N, 94°42'00' E, elevation 4247m, 14 August 2007, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue, Zhen Wang & Zi-Wei Song.
Hosts. Calocedrus macrolepis Kurz , Cupressus sempervirens var. pyramidalis , Juniperus chinensis L., Juniperus chinensis cv. Kaizuca, Juniperus chinensis var. sargentii A. Henry , Juniperus communis L., Juniperus formosana Hayata , Juniperus procumbens Endl. , Juniperus virginiana L.( Cupressaceae ).
Relation to host. Basally enlarged and crowded needles, necrosis.
Distribution. China (Anhui, Beijing, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanghai, Tibet, Zhejiang), Austria, Europe, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Japan, North America.
