Description. FEMALE: (n = 15) Body fusiform, 238 (200–238), 62 (60–62) wide, 72 (66–72) thick; light yellow. Gnathosoma 22 (20–25), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 4 (3–4), dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 7 (7–8), cheliceral stylets 18 (18–19). Prodorsal shield 50 (48–50), 55 (52–55) wide, smooth; anterior shield lobe broad. Scapular tubercles on rear shield margin, 35 (35–36) apart, scapular setae (sc) 15 (15–16), projecting posterior. Coxigenital region with 9 (8–9) annuli. Coxal plates with granules, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 8 (7–8), 14 (13–14) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 18 (15–18), 10 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 41 (35–41), 30 (28–30) apart, tubercles 1b and 1a apart 7 (7–8), tubercles 1a and 2a 9 (9–10) apart. Prosternal apodeme 6 (6–7). Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 38 (38–40), femur 9 (8–9), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 11 (11–12); genu 5 (5–6), antaxial genual seta (l ') 18 (15–18); tibia 12 (11–12), paraxial tibial seta (l ') 3 (3–4), located at 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 7 (6–7), seta ft ' 18 (18–20), seta ft ' 20 (18–20), seta u ' 5 (4–5); tarsal empodium (em) 5 (5–6), simple, 5-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5 (5–6), knobbed. Leg І 33 (33–35), femur 7 (6–7), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 12 (11–12); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual seta (l ') 5 (5–6); tibia 10 (9–10); tarsus 7 (7–8), seta ft ' 5 (5–6), seta ft ' 18 (18–21), seta u ' 4 (4–5); tarsal empodium (em) 5 (5–6), simple, 5-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6 (5–6), knobbed. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 19 (19–23) annuli, with filament microtubercles on rear annular margins, ventrally with 62 (62–65) annuli, with round microtubercles on rear annular margins. Setae c2 27 (23–27) on ventral annulus 7 (7–9), 57 (55–57) apart; setae d 61 (53–61) on ventral annulus 21 (21–23), 20 (20–22) apart; setae e 23 (23–24) on ventral annulus 41 (41–44), 14 (14–15) apart, setae f 31 (27–31) on 5th ventral annulus from rear, 22 (22–23) apart. Setae h1 2 (2–3), h2 70 (70–77). Female genitalia 18 (16–18), 29 (29–30) wide, coverflap with 8 longitudinal ridges, setae 3a 23 (18–23), 19 (18–19) apart.

MALE: (n = 4) Body fusiform, 183–203, 55–57 wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 20–21, projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3–4, dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 6–7, cheliceral stylets 15–16. Prodorsal shield 45–46, 45–46 wide, smooth; anterior shield lobe present. Scapular tubercles on rear shield margin, 28–30 apart, scapular setae (sc) 6–7, projecting posterior. Coxigenital region with 9–10 annuli. Coxal plates with granules, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 5–6, 10–11 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 12–13, 6 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 28–30, 21 apart, tubercles 1b and 1a apart 5–6, tubercles 1a and 2a 7–8 apart. Prosternal apodeme 4–5. Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 25–27, femur 13–14, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 9–10; genu 4–5, antaxial genual seta (l ') 20; tibia 9–10, paraxial tibial seta (l ') 4–5, located at 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 6–7, seta ft ' 16–17, seta ft ' 18–19, seta u ' 4–5; tarsal empodium (em) 5–6, simple, 5-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5–6, knobbed. Leg І 23–25, femur 12–13, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 5–6; genu 4–5, antaxial genual seta (l ') 6–7; tibia 8–9; tarsus 6–7, seta ft ' 5–6, seta ft ' 19–20, seta u ' 4–5; tarsal empodium (em) 5–6, simple, 5- rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5–6, knobbed. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 18–20 annuli, with filament microtubercles on rear annular margins, ventrally with 65–67 annuli, with round microtubercles on rear annular margins. Setae c2 22–23 on ventral annulus 12, 45–47 apart; setae d 45–49 on ventral annulus 24, 26–27 apart; setae e 19–20 on ventral annulus 45–46, 17–18 apart, setae f 28–32 on 5th ventral annulus from rear, 16–17 apart. Setae h1 2–3, h2 50–58. Male genitalia 19–20 wide, setae 3a 13–14, 15–17 apart.

Type material. Holotype, female (slide number NJAUAcariEri334, marked Holotype), from Betula albosinensis Burkill (Betulaceae) , Changqing Nature Reserve, Huayang Town, Yang County, Shaanxi Province, P. R. China, 34°41'57' N, 107°37'09' E, elevation 2187m, 9 August 2005, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue & Zi-Wei Song. Paratypes, 6 females and 3 males (slide number NJAUAcariEri334), with the same data as holotype; 3 females (slide number NJAUAcariEri570) from Betula ermanii Cham. (Betulaceae) , Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province, P. R. China, 42°02'27' N, 128°03'30' E, elevation 1892m, 26 June 2006, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue & Zi-Wei Song.

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation albosinensis is from the species name of host plant, albosinensis .

Differential diagnosis. This species is similar to Anthocoptes insulanaes Huang & Wang, 2004 , but can be differentiated from the latter by having the admedian lines separated on the prodorsal shield (admedian lines connected on prodorsal shield in Anthocoptes insulanaes ), coxal plates II with granules (coxal plates II smooth in Anthocoptes insulanaes ), and tarsal empodium 5-rayed (tarsal empodium 7-rayed in Anthocoptes insulanaes ).
