REMARKS. Sanborn (2016c) describes the history of the taxon and the validity of C. brasilianorum for the taxon. The species has the same general appearance as C. nana sp. n. but is larger (body length 24.5–34.0 mm vs. 19.7–24.5 mm in the new species). The primary fore femoral spines are well separated from the femur surface, the secondary and apical spines are almost upright rather than strongly angled, female operculum extends over sternite II with the posterolateral margin forming an acute angle, and the lateral margin of female sternite VII forms a less acute angle in this species.
DISTRIBUTION. Specimens have been reported from previously from (Metcalf 1963; Sanborn 2013), and French Guiana (Sanborn 2011a). The range of the species is extended to include Bolivia and Peru with the new records reported here. The species has been reported from Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Peru, South America, and Suriname ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2016c).
