Acanthomysis longispina Fukuoka & Murano, 2002

Type locality. Andaman Sea , Thailand ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002) .

Record from Thailand. South-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Habitat. Marine, but Fukuoka & Murano (2002) did not mention the depth. Generally, this species occurred from 3–8 meters in depth around seagrasses bed ( Gan et al. 2010; Tan & Azman 2018).

Distribution. So far, this species is distributed from Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002) and to Malaysia ( Gan et al. 2010; Tan & Azman 2018).

Remarks. This species closely resembles A. quadrispinosa , but the main characteristics of A. longispina are the inner margin of the second article of mandibular palp weakly serrated on the distal half and the exopod of male fourth pleopod overreaching the posterior end of last abdominal somite ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).
