Description

Marginal fold S-shaped ( Fig. 10B View Figure 10 ), terminating at posterior tip of sorting area; oesophageal aperture at tip of marginal fold recurved segment; sorting area rectangular with broadly rounded posterior margin; sorting area modified into thick cords with sorting lamellae on surface; left margin of sorting area sinuous, indistinct anteriorly, where sorting area extends onto region of coarse folds in roof; accessory marginal fold straight along sorting area left margin; sorting area pad, anterior flap, and crescentic pads lacking; glandular pad large, elongate, flattened with narrow stalk, extending far posterior to gastric shield; paired digestive gland ducts opening at left of glandular pad; crescentic ridge long, extending from oesophageal aperture, past digestive gland ducts, curving around posterior end of glandular pad, fusing to side of pad behind shallow caecum; three caecal folds present opposite caecum; small accessory pad present (not visible) at anterior end of glandular pad, fitting into shallow depression along ventral surface of major typhlosole; U-shaped fold present below style sac aperture; style sac extremely long, extending into mantle roof; typhlosoles fused along entire length.

Remarks

Houbrick (1991b: 297) noted the presence of the ‘large, ridge-like central pad’ (= glandular pad), broad sorting area, prominent gastric shield, and elongate style sac penetrating the mantle roof.
