Afrotropical: 1) Mozambique, 2) South Africa, 3) Zimbabwe ( Santos Dias 1980, Norval et al. 1987, Kolonin 2009, Horak et al. 2018).

The presence of Ixodes neitzi in Mozambique is based on Ixodes donarthuri , a synonym of Ixodes neitzi , as discussed in Guglielmone & Nava (2014), because the holotype of Ixodes donarthuri was collected in Nampula Province, Mozambique ( Santos Dias 1980).
