Palearctic: 1) Iran, 2) Kazakhstan, 3) Turkmenistan, 4) Uzbekistan ( Filippova 1977, Kolonin 2009, Hosseini-Chegeni et al. 2019, Perfilyeva et al. 2020).

Hosseini-Chegeni et al. (2019) included Ixodes occultus in their list of Iranian ticks, although they stated that additional studies are needed to confirm its presence in Iran, a country provisionally included within the range of this tick.
