Oriental: 1) Indonesia (west of Wallace´s Line) ( Hoogstraal et al. 1972b).

Haemaphysalis bartelsi was treated as a small form of Haemaphysalis koningsbergeri prior to its redescription by Hoogstraal et al. (1972b).
