Afrotropical: 1) Democratic Republic of the Congo, 2) Rwanda, 3) Uganda ( Elbl & Anastos 1966c, Matthysse & Colbo 1987, Walker et al. 2000).

Kolonin (2009) included Angola within the geographic distribution of Rhipicephalus dux , but its presence in that country was regarded as unconfirmed by Walker et al. (2000), and we agree.
