Palearctic: 1) Egypt, 2) Israel, 3) Libya, 4) Tunisia ( Hoogstraal & Kaiser 1958 a, Cwilich & Hadani 1962, Bouattour et al. 1999, Apanaskevich et al. 2008 a, Estrada-Peña et al. 2017).

Bursali et al. (2011) allegedly found Hyalomma franchinii in Turkey, but this diagnosis was rectified to a “variant” of Hyalomma excavatum in Bursali et al. (2012).
