Distribution: Japan (Okinawa Is.), Taiwan. [2a]
Hosts: Unknown.
Taxonomy: At least five other species of Scolytogenes Eichhoff have been collected in Taiwan, but it has not yet been possible to assign them to known species. The genus, like others in the Cryphalini , requires a major revision.
