Distribution: Japan. New to Taiwan. The species is also known to occur in China (SW) and Thailand (RAB, unpublished records). [2a]
New records: Ilan, Fushan, 1.ii.2006 (L. Y. Liu, R. A. Beaver) (1); Nantou, Huison, 16.x.2004 (L. Y. Liu) (1). Hosts: Lithocarpus edulis , Quercus myrsinaefolia (Fagaceae) ( Ueda 1995, 1997).
