Distribution: China (SE), Japan, Taiwan. [2a]

Hosts: Chamaecyparis , Thujopsis (Cupressaceae) , Cryptomeria (Taxodiaceae) . Records from Pinus ( Niijima 1942) and Actinodaphne (Lauraceae) ( Wood & Bright 1992) need confirmation.

Biology: Niijima (1942) considers this to be a pest of young Thujopsis dolabrata trees in Japan.
