Distribution: Taiwan only. Described from timber imported from Taiwan to Japan ( Schedl 1967a). This record can now be confirmed. [1]

New records: Nantou, Hui Son , 18.vi.2006 (L. Y. Liu) (6) .

Host: Picea morrisonicola (Pinaceae) .

Taxonomy: It is possible that Polygraphus formosanus Nobuchi is a synonym of this species.
