Distribution: China (SE), Japan, Korea, Taiwan. [2a]

Hosts: Polyphagous ( Beaver 2010). Recorded from Diospyros (Ebenaceae) , Cinnamomum (Lauraceae) and Styrax (Styraceae) in Taiwan ( Murayama 1934a).

Taxonomy: The species is listed under Amasa Lea in Wood and Bright (1992), but was transferred to Xylosandrus by Dole and Cognato (2010).
