Distribution: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia ( Ternate), Malaysia (E. and W.), Myanmar, Solomon Is.. New to Taiwan. [4]

New records: Nantou, Hui Son , 23.ix.2006 (L. Y. Liu) (1) .

Hosts: Polyphagous, perhaps with a preference for the family Dipterocarpaceae ( Browne 1961; Wood & Bright 1992).

Biology: The biology and gallery system are briefly described by Browne (1961).

Taxonomy: The species is listed in Wood and Bright (1992) in the genus Coptodryas , but was first transferred to Microperus Wood by Maiti and Saha (1986).
