Eunotia deformis Metzeltin & Lange-Bertalot in Lange-Bertalot 1998, 5: 57, pl. 16, figs 9–11 ( Figs 20–29 View FIGURES 20–29 )

Valves slightly dorsiventral, ventral margins slightly concave, with slight protuberance in the median region of both margins. Cuneate apices obliquely rounded. Valve length 14.0–83.9 μm, valve width 7.0–9.4 μm (measured at the center). Areolae not distinguishable in LM. Transapical striae slightly parallel to radiate, equidistant in the middle of the valve spaced 10–14 in 10 μm, slightly denser at the apices. Striae composed of continuous rows of elliptical areolae, 40–50 areolae in 10 μm (SEM). Terminal nodules close to the apices, terminal raphe fissures not clearly visible, extends over almost the entire apical end.
