Diagnosis

Glyptapanteles drioplanetus can be separated from the other described species of Glyptapanteles in Australia by the combination of the following characters: gena without a pale spot, T1 and T2 dark, anteromesoscutum very smooth, with only shallow and regular punctures, no orange markings on the postero-lateral anteromesoscutum, propodeum very smooth with only shallow punctures and the median carina entirely absent, T1 narrowing slightly for most of length, distal ventral half of antennal scape darker than flagellomeres, hind femur pale anteriorly, darkening posteriorly, tegula pale, labrum pale.

Remarks

This species was recently described and we therefore only provide a diagnosis here. Glyptapanteles drioplanetus constitutes BIN: BOLD:ADL3660 and is 2.56% (p-dist.) from the nearest neighbour (BOLD:AEI2300; an undescribed lineage from Australia, with two specimens).
