Colour: Not recorded when fresh, but becoming pale orange with orange blotches (Fig. 42).

Shape: Moderately broad, sub­cuboidal, anterior pole only slightly wider than posterior, anterior polar profile sub­circular, dorso­ventrally flattened (Figs 42, 43 & 45).

Characteristics: Egg marked all over by hexagonal cells with flat floors, narrow, slightly elevated cell walls (Figs 43, 45–47). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small, present on poles and area adjacent to poles (Figs 43, 45 & 47). Chorion with small mounds, ridged (Figs 46 & 47).
