Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, truncated anterior pole, dorso­ventrally flattened, anterior pole slightly angled to the micropylar axis (Fig. 12).

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, flat cells with narrow, shallowly reticulated walls, micropylar cells slightly shingled, overlapping (Figs 12, 13 & 15). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small, present on all surfaces apart from top of egg on wider lateral side, multiply arranged in rows along the sides of cell walls (Figs 12 & 14). Rosette, secondary cells recessed (Figs 10 & 11). Chorion generally rough, wrinkled, cobbled (Figs 14 & 15); micropylar cells not cobbled (Figs 10 & 11).
