Shape: Broad, bluntly ovoid; anterior pole truncated; posterior pole sub­acute; flattened dorso­ventrally; wedge­shaped laterally; anterior pole angled to horizontal axis (Figs 370, 371, 373 & 374).

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by convex, hexagonal cells with narrow recessed walls (Figs 370, 373 & 374), except walls much broader, cell form indistinct in

cells on anterior pole (Fig. 375). Aeropyles inconspicuous, openings moderately small, non­elevated (Figs 375 & 376), present on all surfaces except middle of top of egg. Micropyles, micropylar area poorly defined, cell form indistinct (Fig. 372); micropyles off­centred (Fig. 371). Chorion smooth, slightly wrinkled (Figs 375 & 376).
