Specimens examined:

Holotype: Ƥ. Lukuledi, Type, Strotocera Schenklg. , carinata, Hintz, Ex Musaeo, E. Hintz , Muséum Paris, 1952, Coll R. Oberthur, TYPE ( MNHN).

Others: Namibia, Okawango Dist., Mutompo: 60 km S Rundu, 18°18’38.7”S 19°15’29.4”E, 1180m NN, 11.iii–16.iii.2003, singling, BIOTA 1544, leg. J. Frisch & K. Vohland (1 ex., ZMB). Length: 12.2mm – 17.9mm (2 specimens).

Head: Black; finely and diffusely punctate.

Antennae: Dark brown to black; not reaching base of prontotum when laid alongside; A4–A10 serrate. Pronotum: Disc dark red-brown, sides black; anterior half subparallel to very slightly dilated, constricted towards base; disc with six more or less conspicuous gibbosities, base with two gibbosities (in middle); coarsley wrinkled; length:width ratio 1.69:1.

Scutellum: Dark red-brown.

Elytra: Basal third to half brown to dark red-brown, each elytron with a whitish to yellow lateral spot in the basal third and a whitish transverse fasciae beyond middle spanning from lateral to sutural margins (but not quite to suture), fascia with a small extension towards base; diameter of punctures larger than interstices, punctures within fasciae small, punctures elongate behind fascia; length:width ratio 2.4:1. Legs: Black-brown.

Lower surface: Black-brown.

Vestiture: With whitish to yellowish hairs.

Distribution: Namibia, Tanzania.
