Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the ornatipes species group in having the large body size (BL ranged from 3.32–3.94 mm in measured specimens); the first flagellomere yellowish; the palpus brownish yellow; the hypoproct with dense thick setae along anterior margin ( Fig. 20F View FIGURE 20 ).

Description. Female: Frons brown, with 1 thin, yellow longitudinal stripe medially. Face brown, with yellow band medially; facial carina absent. Clypeus brown. Mesonotum brown, with 5 yellow longitudinal stripes ( Fig. 4I View FIGURE 1-4 ). Scutellum dark brown ( Fig. 4I View FIGURE 1-4 ). Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. 4J View FIGURE 1-4 ). Halter mostly grey ( Fig. 4J View FIGURE 1-4 ). Fore femur with 3 or 4 long setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites mostly dark brown ( Fig. 4I, J View FIGURE 1-4 ); sternites yellowish, about 2 times as wide as long. Female terminalia ( Fig. 20D–F View FIGURE 20 ): Epiproct with several setae, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 20D View FIGURE 20 ). Cercus with numerous setae, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 20D View FIGURE 20 ). Eighth sternite about 2.5 times as wide as long, glabrous on basal 1/2 portion, with numerous prensisetae near posterior margin ( Fig. 20E View FIGURE 20 ). Hypoproct with numerous setae and much pubescence ( Fig. 20F View FIGURE 20 ).
