1968a, 1968 b, 1968 c; Watson & Rohde 1995).

Remark: Rohde (1968c) experimentally infected the molluscs Angulyagra polyzonata , Bithynia (Digoniostoma) siamensis , Pila sp., Filopaludina martensis . Pila sp. is, in fact, Pila scutata for Rohde (1994).

Remark: Type host; sequences of 18S and partial 28S in the GenBank database AJ228785 View Materials ( Littlewood et al. 1998); AJ243684 View Materials ( Littlewood et al. 1999b); AF 023115 View Materials ( Litvaitis & Rohde 1999); AY222166 View Materials (Olson et al. 2003). Rohde (1966), Rohde (1982), Rohde & Watson (1990a, b, c, 1991b) did not mention the hosts of M. purvisi , but the natural hosts for it are S. crassicollis and C. amboinensis .
