Measurements (mm). Body length: Ƥ 8.0, 3 7.7; pronotal length: Ƥ 1.1, 3 1.2; forewing length: Ƥ 6.5, 3 6.2; maximum width of head, including eyes: Ƥ 1.8, 3 1.8; width between humeral angles: Ƥ 2.5, 3 2.3.

Distribution. ECUADOR: Napo Province

Remarks. The aedeagus shape of Z. carvalhoi is unusual within Zuata and, indeed, within Ischnorhininae . However, the morphology of the postclypeus, subgenital plates, and parameres is typical of Zuata .

Etymology. This species is named in honor of Dr. Gervasio Carvalho, in recognition of his expertise on Neotropical Cercopidae and his many valuable contributions to research on spittlebugs.
