Cheiracanthium conspersum ( Thorell, 1891)

Eutittha conspersa Thorell, 1891, p. 27 (description of immature ♀ from INDIA: Nicobar Islands , Pulomilo; Th. Workman leg. 1845–1847).

Chiracanthium (Sic!) conspersum: Bonnet 1956, p. 1050 .

Comments

This species is known only from an immature female specimen collected in Nicobar Islands ( Thorell 1891). In our opinion, identification of Cheiracanthium spp. on the basis of immature specimens is extremely difficult, and in most cases, impossible. However, in some cases, it is possible for immature (=subadult) females. We refrain from establishing a ‘ nomen dubium ’ without a detailed study of the type.
