Description of Caballeronia calidae HMG2081

Cells are Gram-stain-negative, rod shaped, and flagellated. After 3 days at 30℃ on R2A medium, colonies are circular, convex, smooth, and cream colored. The result from the API 20NE tests show positive for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for indole production, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β ­galactosidase. D- Mannose, D- mannitol, D- glucose, L- arabinose, N ­acetyl­glucosamine, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, capric acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are utilized; but not D- maltose.
