Zarcosia picina (Fairmaire, 1893) , comb. nov.

Xylophilus picinus, Fairmaire, 1893: 36 ; Type: MNHN (1 specimen labelled “ Mt [interpreted as Vietnam, Mỹ Tho , 10°22’ N 106°20’ E, a locality referred too multiple times in Fairmaire’s original paper]; Museum Paris, Collection Léon Fairmaire 1906 ” read as lectotype, pres. design.)

Hylophilus picinus var. rufescens Pic, 1905 , syn. nov.; Type: MNHN

Type locality. Vietnam: Mỹ Tho .

Distribution. Singapore, Vietnam ( Figure 1 ).

This species presents striking morphological similarities with Z. dentatifemur (Pic, 1912) , including a longitudinal stripe of pubescence on the pronotum midline and the overall shape of the male genitalia. The shape of the tibiae, however, notably on the forelegs is unambiguously different.

Barbier) (5 sp., MNHN; 1 ♂, NGPC, from Pic collection); Mt [interpreted as Vietnam, M ỹ Tho] (1 ♂ lectotype, label added « Hylophilus picinus Fairmaire, 1893 , Lectotype ♂, N. Gompel des. 2018 ») .
