Capnogryllacris humberti (Griffini, 1914) View in CoL (Chinese name: 亨氏烟ḋ⁂) New record to China

Figures 3–4 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 , 7C–D View FIGURE 7

Male. Body large. Face ovoid, frons with nearly smooth. Fastigium verticis about 1.6 times as wide as scape ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ); fastigium frontis separated from fasigium verticis by a very fine suture. Ocelli distinct.

Anterior margin of pronotum projected in the middle, posterior margin nearly straight; lateral lobes longer than high with V-shaped furrow ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ).

Wings surpassing hind knees ( Fig. 7C–D View FIGURE 7 ). Tegmen ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ): Radius with two branches, both forked near tip. Media anterior arises free from base almost leaning on radius. Cubitus anterior forks into two branches, the anterior branch makes a curvature and receives an oblique connection vein from MA, the left tegmen remains singlebranched as MP+CuA1, while right tegmen divides again into two branches, MP and CuA1; the posterior branch (CuA2) does not divide further; cubitus posterior undivided, free throughout. With 4 anal veins, the last two with common base.

Fore coxae with a small spine; fore and middle femora unarmed; fore and middle tibiae with four pairs of ventral spines and one pair of smaller ventral spurs. Left hind femur with 8 external and 11 internal spines on ventral margin, right one ventrally with 10 external and 8 internal spines; hind tibiae with 6 pairs of dorsal spines, ventral margins with one subapical spur at each side; with 3 apical spurs on both sides.

Abdominal tergites of second and third without stridulatory pegs. Ninth abdominal tergite projecting back- wards, apico-ventral margin furrowed in midline, the lateral areas of the median furrow semi-globularly swollen, and swellings prolonged into long and narrow, slightly sinuate spines, pointing to the opposite side and slightly ventrad and crossing each other ( Fig. 3E–L View FIGURE 3 ). Subgenital plate wider than long, posterior margin slightly projected, the middle area faintly concave ( Fig. 3H–J View FIGURE 3 ). Styli long and stout, inserted at apico-lateral angles ( Fig. 3H–J View FIGURE 3 ).

Female. Unknown.

Coloration. Body light brown. Internal margins of antennal scrobae black ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Around ventral margins of eyes, behind eyes in occiput with 1 black triangular spot on each side. Pronotum with black margins widened at anterior margin ( Fig. 3B–D View FIGURE 3 ). Ventral spines of fore and middle tibiae blackish, hind tibiae with black dorsal spines. Apical area of femora and basal area of tibiae black.

Measurements (mm). body w/wings: 56.4; body w/o wings: 35.4; pronotum: 10.2; tegmen: 56.4; hind femur: 23.7.

Material examined. 1 male, Baisha River, Nanxi, Hekou , Yunnan (103.96E, 22.69N), Alt. 275 m, June 17, 2015, coll. by Zizhong Yang; No. D 20150617, DUIER GoogleMaps .

Distribution. Yunnan (Hekou).

Discussion. The specimen is very similar to the specimens of Capnogryllacris humberti (Griffini, 1914) from Vietnam recorded by Ingrisch (2018) in color pattern of head and pronotum and the armature of the male ninth abdominal tergite. Therefore, we identified the specimen as Capnogryllacris humberti (Griffini, 1914) . But the lobe of posterior margin of male subgenital plate is slightly wide. The species differs from Capnogryllacris nigromarginata (Karny, 1928) in: body large, the black margin of pronotum not widened at posterior margin.
