Type area. Peru.

Examined material. HT ♂ (Oberthür Collection at MNHNP).

Note. Species known from the HT specimen only. The name was attributed in litteris by Chaudoir. Easily distinguished from all other species by a wide depression before the hind angles of pronotum.
