Diagnosis. Vein MA with three main branches reaching wing margin ( Fig. 140 View FIGURE 140 ). Left stridulatory file slightly curved with total of 54 teeth; apical teeth large ( Fig. 140C View FIGURE 140 ).

Description. Male.

Wings. Vein MA with three main branches reaching wing margin ( Fig. 140 View FIGURE 140 ). Tegmina with six asymmetric hyaline bands with wide and narrow regions, overlapping the branches of the M and CuA veins ( Fig. 140 View FIGURE 140 ). Left stridulatory file slightly curved with total of 54 teeth; apical teeth large ( Fig. 140C View FIGURE 140 ).

Legs. All femora with long triangular ventral spines.

Internal male genitalia. Unknown.

Coloration. Described based on photos of live specimens available in OSF online (orthoptera.speciesfile. org). Body and tegmina dark green with numerous asymmetrical white spots. Eyes dark green with white spots. Abdomen light green. Hyaline bands medially with asymmetric white spots with dark green circular spots and apically asymmetric black spots.

Female: Described in the original publication by Bowen-Jones (2000).

Distribution. Costa Rica: Alajuela, Borá, Puntarenas; Ecuador ( Fig. 141 View FIGURE 141 ).

Holotype ♂. COSTA RICA, Corcovado National Park , Sirena Research Station, 01.i.1992, attracted to ligth in primary rainforest, E. Bowen-Jones & D. Briggs – Wilson leg. ( MNCR).
