Figures 57–63 View FIGURE 57 View FIGURE 58 View FIGURE 59 View FIGURE 60 View FIGURE 61 View FIGURE 62 View FIGURE 63

Diagnosis. Vein MA with four main branches reaching wing margin ( Fig. 58 View FIGURE 58 ). Tegmina slightly hyaline, with numerous small circular yellow and dark green spots ( Fig. 62 View FIGURE 62 ). Thorax laterally with four dark green spots ( Fig. 57 View FIGURE 57 ). Mesobasisternum lateral lobes anterolaterally and laterally convex, posteriorly concave, forming a posterolaterally blunt tip ( Fig. 57E View FIGURE 57 ). Metabasisternum anteriorly straight with two small lateral convex projections; lateral lobes anterolaterally convex, laterally and posteriorly straight, posterolaterally forming an angle of 120° ( Fig. 57E View FIGURE 57 ). Apex of cercus with rectangular projection and large lateral spine, with a dark brown color ( Fig. 57K View FIGURE 57 ). Left stridulatory file slightly curved ( Fig. 59A View FIGURE 59 ).

Description. Holotype Male.

Thorax. Mesobasisternum triangular, anteriorly straight; lateral lobes anterolaterally and laterally convex, posteriorly concave, forming a posterolaterally blunt tip ( Fig. 57E View FIGURE 57 ). Metabasisternum triangular, anteriorly straight with two small lateral convex projections; lateral lobes anterolaterally convex, laterally and posteriorly straight, posterolaterally forming an angle of 120° ( Fig. 57E View FIGURE 57 ).

Wings. Vein MA with four main branches reaching wing margin ( Fig. 58 View FIGURE 58 ). Left stridulatory file slightly curved; apical and basal teeth smaller ( Fig. 59A View FIGURE 59 ). Total file length of 2.1 mm, greater vein width of 0.4 mm and total of 62 teeth. Right stridulatory slightly curved; basal teeth more spaced apart ( Fig. 59B View FIGURE 59 ). Total length file of 1.9 mm, widest vein of 0.2 mm and total of 59 teeth.

Legs. Hind femur with expanded region equivalent to 2/3 of the total femur length ( Fig. 57H View FIGURE 57 ).

Abdomen. Cercus slightly curved inwards, with the apex not expanded ( Figs. 57I–K View FIGURE 57 ). Apex of cercus with rectangular projection and large lateral spine, with a dark brown color ( Fig. 57K View FIGURE 57 ). Stylus small and triangular ( Fig. 57I View FIGURE 57 ).

Internal male genitalia. Ejaculatory vesicles reniform ( Figs. 60A–D View FIGURE 60 ). Upper folds of ventral lobe elongated, narrow and connected ( Figs. 60A–B View FIGURE 60 ). Titillator process elliptical ( Figs. 60A–D View FIGURE 60 ). Lower folds of ventral lobe large, triangular and exceeding the dorsal lobe ( Figs. 60A–B View FIGURE 60 ). Dorsal lobes anteriorly, laterally and posteriorly convex ( Figs. 60A–D View FIGURE 60 ). Dorsal folds elongated and asymmetrical ( Figs. 60C–D View FIGURE 60 ).

Coloration. Described based on photos of live specimens ( Fig. 62 View FIGURE 62 ). General color of the body light green. Eyes purple. Thorax laterally with four dark green spots. Abdomen whitewish-green. Tegmina slightly hyaline, with light green coloring; radial branches with numerous small circular yellow spots; cubital and median branches with small dark green spots; margins of tegmina and apex of the membranous wing with narrow yellow band

Female: Morphologically similar to the male, except by the following characteristics ( Figs. 61A–K View FIGURE 61 ):

Thorax. Mesobasisternum triangular, anteriorly convex; lateral lobes anterolaterally, laterally and posteriorly convex, forming a posterolateral acuminate tip ( Fig. 61E View FIGURE 61 ). Metabasisternum triangular, anteriorly straight; lateral lobes anterolaterally convex, laterally and posteriorly straight, posterolaterally forming an angle of 100° ( Fig. 61E View FIGURE 61 ).

Wings. Unaltered anal veins for sound production ( Fig. 61A View FIGURE 61 ).

Abdomen. Cercus slightly curved inwards, apex acuminate ( Figs. 61H–J View FIGURE 61 ). Subgenital plate triangular, apex rounded and stylus absent ( Fig. 61H View FIGURE 61 ). Ovipositor curved; apical region of dorsal and ventral valve with small rectangular teeth ( Fig. 61J View FIGURE 61 ).

Coloration. Based on photos of preserved specimen ( Fig. 61 View FIGURE 61 ). Body yellowish-brown. Eyes dark brown.

Etymology. The from Latim, picta = painted, in reference to the coloring with many spots of this species.
